NTA NEET Result 2022 Answer Key, Result Date: NTA revises ranking criteria, check details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NTA NEET UG 2022 is likely to release in August (this month). Students are currently waiting for NTA to release the NTA NEET UG 2022 Answer Key on the official website - www.neet.nta.nic.in. 

After NTA declares the NTA NEET UG 2022 Result, they will be receiving an All India Ranking (AIR) which would be based on the marks received by them. Admissions to various colleges are done based on these ranks.

This year, NTA has revised the ranking criteria for NEET 2022 and has also changed the marking scheme. There will now be negative markings for all the questions and the tie-breaking criteria have also changed. 

As per the tie-breaking criteria, every candidate would be allotted a unique rank. As for the NTA NEET UG 2022 Answer Key, sources have said that it is likely to release this week between August 17 and 18, 2022 (Wednesday-Thursday). NTA is yet to confirm an official date for the same.

NTA NEET Result 2022: Ranking Criteria Revised 

Higher marks/percentile scores in Biology (Botany & Zoology), Chemistry, and Physics (in that order)

If some receive the same marks in all the subjects, the students with less proportion of incorrect questions attempted would be given a higher rank. This will be followed by students with less proportion of incorrect questions in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (in that order)

If these marks are also similar then older candidates would be given a higher rank. 

If the candidates share their birthdays, the one who has applied for the NEET exam earlier would get a higher rank (Application number in ascending order).
