NEET Answer Key 2021 latest news: The second phase of registrations for NEET 2021 is set to end on October 10. It is to be noted that after October 10, the National Testing Agency (NTA) would release the answer key for the NEET 2021 entrance exam. According to reports, the NTA is expected to release the NEET 2021 Answer key on October 11, however, the NTA is yet to make any official announcement in this regard.
Along with the answer key, the NTA is also expected to release the question papers at the official website, ntaneet.nic.in and nta.ac.in. The NTA will provide a window to the students to raise objections if any against the answer key. The NTA will study the objection and if the objection is accepted then the money paid for raising it will be refunded. The changes if accepted by the NTA will be reflected in final answer key.
It is to be noted that NEET entrance exam result is announced within a month of the conduct of the NEET entrance exam. The NEET 2021 entrance exam was held on September 12 across the country and it is expected that NEET 2021 entrance exam result would be declared by October 12. The newly added second phase of registration is seen as a reason behind the delay in the result declaration. Sources, however, said that NEET 2021 entrance exam result would be declared by end of October.
Another najor change in NEET 2021 entrance exam result would be the change in the formula to calculate the rank. The NTA has removed age as tie-breaking for NEET 2021 entrance exam. For this year, the ties between two students will be resolved on the basis of marks obtained in biology and if the tie still persists, a student who has obtained higher marks in chemistry will get preference.
According to experts, the cutoff for NEET 2021 would be lesser than NEET 2020. It may be recalled that in 2020, the cut-off score for top colleges was 720-147 while in 2019 it was 701-134. This year, it is likely that the score can range from 715 - 130 for unreserved category students.
