The cut-off score depends on several factors including the number of students who appeared in NEET entrance exam and total seats available.
As lakhs of medical aspirants across the country are waiting for the release of NEET 2021 entrance exam results, it is expected that the cut-off for NEET 2021 entrance exam would be lower than the cut-off for the last year.
It is to be noted that the the minimum marks required to pass NEET 2021 entrance exam will still be 50 percentile, however, it is expected that the required marks for admission in top colleges might be lower this year as compared to 2020.
The cut-off score depends on several factors including the number of students who appeared in NEET entrance exam, total seats available, and the difficulty level of the exam. Though over 16 lakh students appeared for NEET 2021 entrance exam which is higher than last year but the number of seats has increase as well.
The cut-off score for top colleges in 2020 was 720-147 while it was 701-134 a year before. According to experts, this year the cut-off for unreserved category students can range from 715 - 130. For OBC candidates the cutoff could be 129-107 and for SC, ST candidates it can go around 129 - 100, and 104 to 98 for PH students.
Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is gearing up to release the NEET 2021 entrance exam answer key for M, N, O, P for all 1 to 6 series soon. It may be recalled that NEET 2021 entrance exam was held across the country in offline mode on September 12. Once released, the students will be able to download the NEET 2021 answer key from the official website - ntaneet.nic.in. It is expected that the NTA would release NEET 2021 entrance exam result in October.

NEET 2021 entrance exam: Marking Scheme
There are 180 180 multiple-choice questions and the total marks is 720. Every question carries equal marks and each correct answer will get 4 marks. There is negative marking for each incorrect answer. Each wrong answer will be awarded -1 mark and 1 mark will be deducted from your total obtained marks.
