After the much-awaited announcement of the JEE Main 2021 dates, now students preparing for NEET-UG 2021 are waiting for an announcement soon as well. Till now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) nor the Education Ministry has not made an official announcement in regards to the NEET-UG 2021 exam date.
Students are waiting with such anticipation that as soon as Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had announced the JEE Main dates recently, Twitter had erupted with demands to announce the medical entrance exam, NEET-UG 2021, date.
It is important to know that NTA had set August 1 as a date for conducting the NEET 2021, however, there is no update about it as yet amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Notably, the application process for NEET, which usually begins in June, has not started yet. This means there is almost no chance that NEET 2021 will be conducted in August.
Recently, the NTA had also claimed that the viral notice claiming that 'NEET 2021 will be held on September 5' is FAKE. The agency had said that the notice that was being circulated online was morphed and a final decision on the exam dates is yet to be taken.
Meanwhile, according to a report on India.com, the remaining sessions of JEE Main 2021 will be held from July 20 to 25 (third session) and July 27 to August 2 (fourth session). These exams were earlier going to be held in April and May but were delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic-induced lockdown.
