Jharkhand Board Exam 2021: JAC postpones class 10, 12 exams amid COVID-19 surge, know details here

The state government will hold a meeting on June 1 to review the COVID situation and further decisions will be taken accordingly, the council said.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) postponed the board exams for classes 10 and 12 amid a huge surge in the COVID-19 cases in the state. The state government will hold a meeting on June 1 to review the COVID situation and further decisions will be taken accordingly, the council said in a statement.

The decision follows after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) canceled the class 10 board exams ad postponed the class 12 board eams, along with other state boards ad CISCE board.

“Due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) postpones examinations of Class 10th and 12th. A meeting will be held on June 1 to review the situation, & further decisions will be taken according to the situation: JAC,” reports ANI. 

Earlier on Thursday (April 15), CM Hemant Soren had a long discussion with officials on the matriculation and inter examinations of the JAC Board regarding the dangerously growing corona virus infection in Jharkhand. 

Concerned about the future of the students, Soren said that keeping in the mind the COVID-19 situation, serious discussion are being held on Jharkhand Board's Matriculation and Inter examinations.
