ICSE, ISC Exam 2021 postponed? Latest updates CISCE Board students must know

CISCE Board Exam 2021: As the CBSE cancelled its exams for class 10 and deferred those for class 12, students of the CISCE Board have urged the board to either postpone or cancel class 10, 12 board exams.

All eyes are now on the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) to announce a decision on the Board exams 2021. Going by the trend, it seems that CISCE too would cancel the class 10 exams, however, an official statement is awaited. For class 12 exams, a postponement is more likely.

As per CISCE Board Exam 2021 news, the decision on ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 exams will be announced soon. CISCE has released an official notification stating, "Due to COVID situation, the board will take a decision regarding ICSE Class X and ISC Class XII year 2021 examination and will inform all concerned at the earliest."

As of now, CISCE Board Exam 2021 for ICSE or Class 10 students is scheduled to begin on May 4 and end on June 7, while ISC or Class 12 exam is scheduled to start on April 8 and end on June 18, 2021.

Following the decision of CBSE, several state boards have also decided to cancel their class 10 board exams. CISCE board might take a decision in line with the CBSE board exams 2021. The class 10 exams might get cancelled while the class 12 exams may get postponed. However, there has been no official update regarding the postponement of the exams.

In 2020, CISCE had to cancel board exams adue to COVID-19 and had adopted a unique assessment scheme to promote students. CISCE’s assessment scheme included three parameters — (i) an average of a student's best three papers marks in CISCE board examination, (ii) subject project, and (iii) percentage of subject internal assessment for class 10 or project and practical work for class 12.
