Haryana schools for primary classes are all set to reopen soon, keeping in mind the strict Covid-19 norms. The Haryana to resume offline classes 4 and 5 from September 1. Education Minister Kanwar Pal said that classes will be organised while strictly following the Covid-19 SOPs. The decision has been taken after decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in Haryana.  

"Haryana Government decides to re-open schools from September 1, for classes 4 and 5 in the state. State Education Minister Kanwar Pal says that classes will be organized for these students while strictly following the COVID19 SOPs," news agency ANI said in a tweet.

Recently, schools in Haryana have been reopened for classes 9 to 12 from July 17 and for classes 6 to 7 from July 23. However, it is not mandatory for students to come to school as online classes are also continuing. The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut all across the world.

Haryana government on July 21 has announced to reduce 30 per cent syllabus for secondary and senior secondary classes for the academic session 2021-22, due to the COVID-19-hit session. The decision has been taken as the schools could not open due to COVID-19 and the education was disrupted, said Haryana Board president, Jagbir Singh.
