Applications have been invited for various posts including food analyst, technical officer, Hindi translator, central food safety officer (CFSO), assistant, personal assistant, and IT assistant by the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI).
According to the notification, candidates will be able to apply for these positions on or before November 7. The application process has already begun from today, October 8, on the official website of FSSAI - fssai.gov.in.
This recruitment drive is looking to hire at least 233 individuals. The selection will be based on a written exam followed by an interview or a skill test if required. Keep in mind, the tests will be computer-based.
Notably, candidates are advised to prioritise their interest in a position before applying in case they get selected for more than one post.

-Food Analyst: 4
-Technical Officer: 125
-Central Food Safety Officer (CFSO): 37
-Assistant Manager (IT): 4

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have a graduation or postgraduation degree in the relevant subjects from any recognised board of education.
For the position of a food analyst, the age limit is 35 years and for the Junior Assistant Grade-I, the age limit is 25 years. For all other posts, the upper age is capped at 30 years.
Application fee:
Candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay Rs 1500 per post, while candidates belonging to SC/ST/EWS/Women/Ex-Servicemen/ PwBD will have to pay Rs 500.
Steps to Apply:
- Visit the official website-fssai.gov.in.
- Click on Jobs
- Once a new window opens, go to the circular number-HR-12013/6/2021-HR-FSSAI [DR-04/2021] and click on 'Apply Online'. The link would be activated from October 13.
- Fill the application form with the necessary details and pay the application fee
- Once the form is submitted, candidates are advised to keep a copy of the application form for further details.
