DU Fifth Cut Off Merit List 2019 released @du.ac.in; 96.25% for BA (Hons) Economics at Gargi College

If a candidate wants to switch colleges from an earlier admission, they can do so but with a cancellation fee charge of Rs 1000.

Colleges affiliated to the Delhi University (DU) have started releasing on their official websites the fifth cut off merit lists for admission to Undergraduate (UG) courses in the Academic Year 2019-2020, following which the varsity released a collected list of 2019 cut off percentage of marks for all the colleges at their official website -- du.ac.in.

Changes in the fifth cut off list follow those of the fourth, where there was a marginal decline in the cut off percentage of marks from the preceding list. The varsity, as notified earlier on their website, advised the students to complete the admission processes on time, including the document verification and fees payment processes.

According to reports, if a candidate wants to switch colleges from an earlier admission, they can do so but with a cancellation fee charge of Rs 1000.

Dyal Singh College

At Dyal Singh College, the cut-off for BA (Hons) English is at 90% while the cut-off for BSc (Honours) Mathematics is at 92%.

 

Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College

At Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, the cut-off for BA (Hons) English is again, at 90%, while the cut-off for BSc (Honours) Mathematics is at 91%, recording a marginal dip.

 

PGDAV College (Evening)

At the Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo Vedic College (PGDAV) Evening, the cut-off for BA Economics and Political Science stand at 80.75% while that of BSc Mathematics has dropped down to 90.75%.

 

Gargi College

At Gargi College, seats are still available for courses like BA (Hons) English - 95.25%, BA (Hons) Economics - 96.25%, BA (Hons) Political Science - 95.50%, BCom - 94.75%, and BCom (Honours) - 95.75%.

The press release that the university took out said that the details of the minimum cut-off percentage of marks (Fifth Admission List) at which admissions to various courses have been offered by different colleges 'are given in the enclosed charts' (for the colleges on their websites). The eligible candidates who meet the requirements are further advised by the university to complete their admission formalities in the concerned colleges as soon as possible.

Most of the combinations under BA programme are closed apart from Philosophy and Psychology, English and History, Philosophy, and Political Science, among others.

If seats continue to remain vacant in colleges, the varsity will also take out the more cut off merit lists. Last year, around ten cut off merit lists for the Delhi University admissions had been released
