DU Admissions 2021: First cut-off list for 2021 to release on October 1 - Details inside

The most awaited Delhi University's first cut-off list for 2021 will be out tomorrow on October 1. The list will be available on individual colleges' websites as well as Delhi University's website. 

The cut-off list is expected to be higher since many students have faired well in their class 12 board exams. Notably, the process of admissions for UG and PG courses will be done online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students are advised to stay off-campus until further notice. 

For any information regarding admissions, documents, etc students can log on to the official website of Delhi University: du.ac.in.  

The university has made proper arrangements for teachers who will be involved in the admission process of the UG, PG courses. The process is the same as last year in 2020.

DU Admission process explained: 

Once the cut-off list is released, students can pick the course and college of their choice on the admissions portal dashboard. 

After they decide on the course and college, they can complete the DU UG Admission form with accurate details. The Admission forms will then be verified by the members of the admissions committee.  

The Convenor of admissions keeps a check on the recommended cases for admissions and a list is sent to respective College Principals for final approval. If the college rejects an application, they are required to provide a valid reason for it. 

Once these formalities are over, students are asked to upload the necessary documents on the portal for verification.
  
Documents required are - Class 12 or qualifying exam marksheet and passing certificate, Class 10 marksheet and passing certificate, Caste certificate/EWS Certificate (if applicable), Transfer Certificate from school, Migration Certificate from Board, Character Certificate and OMR form of University Registration.
  
After uploading the documents students are required to pay the fee and keep the receipt with them for future references. 

The students will soon receive an intimation if they have got into the college or not. 
This year the students also have an option of 'Seat Shifting' after the first cut-off list is released.
