Chhattisgarh Board CGBSE cancels class 10 exams, class 12 board exams 2021 postponed
The class 10 exams were scheduled to be held from April 15 to May 1 while the class 12 board exams were scheduled to start on May 3 and end on May 24.

After CBSE, ICSE and various state boards have postponed or cancelled class 10 and 12 exams, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) on Thursday (April 22) cancelled the class 10 examinations in view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
The class 10 exams were scheduled to be held from April 15 to May 1. Meanwhile, the board has postponed the examinations for class 12 exams which will now be conducted at a later date.
The senior secondary (class 12) exams which were scheduled to start on May 3 and end on May 24 have been deferred until further notice. The result of class 10 students will be based on the students’ performance in internal assignments. Nearly 4.61 lakh students were registered to sit for class 10 exams.
“If a student has not completed the assignment work or has not achieved the minimum marks required, then such students will be awarded passing marks. Further, if a student is dissatisfied with the awarded marks, then they shall be given an opportunity to appear for the exams when the COVID-19 situation improves,” VK Goyal, secretary, CGBSE, said in an official statement.
