1.5 lakh students gave the examination for admission to engineering colleges

The long wait is over for students who appeared West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). The board did a press conference at 1 PM to announce the name of the toppers. Soham Mistry of Durgapur has topped the exam. Second is Tamojit Badhyopadhyay from Kolkata. Kaustav Roy of Durgapur is third. Five out of ten candidates in the top ten are from Kolkata.
1.5 lakh students gave the examination for admission to engineering colleges in govermnent and private colleges across West Bengal.
The results came out at 2 PM today, 20th June. The candidates who appeared for the WBJEE can check their results on the official website - wbjeeb.nic.in
The examination was conducted on 26th May.

Apart from West Bengal, test centres were also located in Assam and Tripura. The exam was slightly delayed due to Lok Sabha elections. 24 days after the exam took place, now candidates have got their result.
About the WBJEE 2019
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed in the year 1962 for the purpose of holding Common Entrance Examinations for admission to the Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the State of West Bengal. The endeavour of the Board has always been directed towards enhancement of transparency in conducting Common Entrance Examinations for various professional Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses in the State through effective state-of-the-art technology.
