CBSE CTET 2019 online application last date extends till 25th Sep; visit ctet.nic.in for details

The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has extended the online application date for Eligibility Test (CTET) to 25th September 2019. Earlier, the last date for the submission of online application was September 18, 2019. 

Now the interested candidates can submit online application till 25th September 2019 on official website ctet.nic.in and examination fee can be paid till 3:30 pm on September 30th.

CTET 2019 will be held in 110 cities all across the country on December 8. The online registration of the 13th edition of CTET began on August 19, 2019. 

Passing CTET is one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII in different government schools. Some private schools also choose to make CTET qualification a requirement for their teachers. 

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the CTET to the CBSE.

The test is held twice a year. Earlier in July, over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the CBSE CTET 2019 exam which was held in nearly 100 cities across the country.

How to apply online: 

STEP1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in

STEP2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same

STEP3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No/Application No

STEP4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature

STEP5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking

STEP6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

Schedule of examination:

PAPER -I: 09.30 AM TO 12.00 NOON on December 8, 2019

PAPER-II: 02.00 PM TO 04.30 PM on December 8, 2019

Minimum Qualifications:

For becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

For becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

OR

Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.
