CBSE CTET 2019 on July 7: Check exam pattern, timings, syllabus, qualifying criteria, how to download admit card

All the candidates should note that no entry will be allowed inside the examination hall without the admit card. Exam will be conducted on July 7.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on July 7. The admit cards have already been released and those who still haven't downloaded their exam hall can visit the official website and download until it gets too late. Visit website ctet.nic.in to download your admit card.

CTET 2019 exam pattern

  • CTET 2019 will have two papers. CTET Paper 1 and CTET Paper 2. 
  • Paper one is for primary teachers and Paper two is for upper primary teachers.  
  • Both exams will be of two-hour duration. It will objective  OMR-based test. 


According to reports, this year more than 8,17,892 candidates have applied for CTET exam paper 1. While paper 2 is expected to be attempted by 8,38,381 people. All the candidates should note that no entry will be allowed inside the examination hall without the admit card. 

Key things to note:

CTET exam Paper 1 reporting deadline is 9:30 am and for Paper 2 is 2:00 pm. Candidates reporting after the mentioned time will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

Steps to download CTET admit card 2019 

Step 1: Visit the official website — ctet.nic.in

Step 2: Look for a flashing notification which says, download CTET admit card or download admit 

Step 3: Click on the link and enter your personal details and all the required information. 

Step 4: Click on submit, the admit card will get downloaded. 

Step 5: Candidates can take a print, download or e-mail admit card for further reference. 

Qualifying criteria in CTET

To qualify the exam, a candidate will have to score at least 60% marks. The validity of the result is seven years. If a candidate fails to qualify the exam, he/she can re-appear next year as there is no cap on the number of attempts. 

If a candidate wants to improve his/her marks tally, they can also re-appear for the exam. 

Note: Qualifying the CTET exam does not guarantee your recruitment as there are other things to be followed after clearing the exam.
