The MCQ-type term 1 exam will be held in an adaptable schedule of 4-8 weeks duration from November 2021.
Reports state that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to release the much-awaited examination schedule for the Term 1 exam for students of class 10 and class 12 next week. Candidates, after the exam schedule releases, can check the timetable on CBSE's official website - cbse.gov.in.
An official confirmation is still awaited from CBSE, but the teachers are expecting it to release by Friday (October 15). Because of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, the CBSE has also decided to take the classes 10, 12 board exams into 2 terms - covering 50% syllabus in each term.
Notably, the MCQ-type term 1 exam will be held in an adaptable schedule of 4-8 weeks duration from November 2021, while the subjective term 2 exams are scheduled to take place between March-April 2022.
The marks of both Term 1 and Term 2 will be considered for determining the final CBSE class 10, 12 Results 2022.
Talking to a leading daily, controller of examinations at CBSE, Sanyam Bharadwaj said, on Friday, that students will also be given additional blank space or circles in the OMR answer sheets.
Bharadwaj was quoted as saying, "While revision if the candidate realises that they have selected the wrong choice, they can strike it off, select the correct circle and write the same (like 1, 2, 3 or 4 or a, b, c or d) in the additional blank space."
