CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021: Latest updates for practical exams students must know

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on Thursday, announced that students of classes 10 and 12, who have tested positive for Covid-19, will get another chance to appear in CBSE practical examinations 2021.

"If any candidate is absent in practical because of being COVID positive or any family member – mother, father, brother and sister, etc – is reported COVID positive, schools will conduct practical of such candidates at an appropriate time in consultation with the concerned regional officer but latest by June 11, 2021," reads the official notification.

Meanwhile, CBSE has clarified that no announcement regarding the postponement of the practical exams has been made by the board. All the candidates are advised to check the official website of CBSE for the latest updates on board exams.

The practical exams for board students started on March 1 and will conclude by June 11. Theory exams for classes 10, 12 students are scheduled for May-June. CBSE, in March, revised dates for classes 10 and 12 and as per the new date sheet.

CBSE class 10 final exams will begin on May 4 and end on June 7 and class 12 board exams will be held from May 4 to June 14.

New syllabus

The new syllabus for the new academic session for classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 have been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). However, there is no reduction in the syllabus for the academic session 2021-22. The new academic session for these students starts this month.

Students should keep in mind that the revised/reduced CBSE syllabus of the previous academic session will not be applicable in the new academic year. Hence, students of CBSE Class 9-12 are advised to check the new syllabus as they begin their studies in the new class for this academic session.
