CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022: BIG updates students need to know

The CBSE has decided to appoint observers and invigilators at the exam centres in order to ensure fariness during the exam.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that students appearing for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 term 1 board exam will be allowed to appear from their own school.  An official statement released by the CBSE said that it is trying its best to allow the students to take CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 from their schools as it would recude the time required for travel. CISCE has also announced to follow the same policy.

The CBSE notice said that students who are residing in a city which is different from where there school is will get an opportunity to apply for a change in the exam centre. It is to be noted that the CBSE is open the window to apply for a change in the exam centre. CBSE has said that “at an appropriate time, CBSE will inform students to make a request to their respective schools to change the city of their exam centre."

The CBSE has decided to appoint observers and invigilators at the exam centres in order to ensure fariness during the exam. 

For students who have registered to sit for CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 in open mode, the CBSE has decided to assign them the exam centres in their vicinity. If the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 will be held in an offline mode then schools will be sanitized before exams. 

In a major development, the CBSE has already announced that CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 first term exam result will only consist of marks and no student will be put in the pass or fail category. The final result will consist of marks obtained in term 1, term 2, and internal assessment. For CBSE Class 10 exam, the internal assessment will consist of three periodic tests, student enrichment, portfolio, and practical work, speaking listening activities. For CBSE Class 12 exam, the internal assessment will include unit tests at end of every topic, exploratory activities, practicals, and projects.

The CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2022 is scheduled to begin from December 1 and continue till December 22 for major subjects, while CBSE Class 10 Exam 2022 will begin from November 30. Minor exams will begin from December 17 for Class 10 and from December 16 for Class 12.
