In a good news for lakhs of CBSE Class 10, 12 students across the country, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Class 10, 12 Result 2021 Dispute Redressal Policy. It is to be noted that the CBSE released the policy after receiving several requests by students and parents. The CBSE said that the application process for dispute redressal began from August 9, 2021 and will go on till August 14, 2021. CBSE has said that any dispute over the marks would be referred to a committee. Notably, four disputes have been mentioned by the committe and the CBSE has also released the modalities to address the disputes. Notably, the CBSE Class 10, 12 students will not be allowed to challenge the method of computation of marks used by the result committee to finalise CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 results. According to CBSE, the disputes regarding CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 result will be addressed first and then the committee will consider the disputes related to CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 result.
CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 Results: Dispute Type 1 & 2
In this category, the CBSE will consider disputes including computation of marks by the result committee. It may be recalled that CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 were cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic and internal assessment was used by CBSE to prepare the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 result. The CBSE sed marks of class 12, 11, 10 with 40:30:30 weightage for preparing CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 result. Stuents who are dissatified with the marks allotted by the CBSE can approach the principal of their respective schools for verification of marks.
Schools have been asked by the CBSE to record the receipt of the representation for future use. It has been decided by the CBSE that the same result committee reexamine the result of the candidate and if the committe will not find any mistake in the result then candidates will receive a reply and the dispute would be considered as solved.
If the committe finds a mistake then it will give a reply to the school about the mistake and how it happened. The school will then mark the representation to the concerned Regional Officer through School Request Submission Resolution. The dispute will now become Type 2. The update of the result will now be done by the Regional Office.
CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2021 Result: Dispute Type 3 & 4
In type 3 dispute, the committe will take into account the issues related to wrong computation or uploading of result. For the resolution of this dispute, the schools will have to send the request through SARS with record to Regional Officer. The result committee would comprise of Deputy Commissioner KVS, Deputy Director, State Education Department, and others. After the verification of facts, the details will be submitted to the Regional Officer and if the representation is found to be correct, then the required changes will be made by Regional Officer. The type 4 dispute is about the despite regarding the policy.
For type 4 dispute, schools will need to apply through SARS with full information about the claim. The committee will be made up of a retired principal and officers. The recommendation will be submitted to the Comptroller of Examination.
