According to a Times of India (TOI) report, CU Vice Chancellor Sonali Chakravarti on Monday said that the entrance exams for all the PG courses under its 66 departments will now follow the online format, just like the admission process for the courses, too, has been made online.

She added that it was a step towards ‘modernisation’ and ‘transparency’ and that CU was the first university to introduce such modern techniques in conducting the entrance tests.

Further, the VC said that the university is trying to “strengthen the examination system”, thereby conducting the entrance tests from next year away from the home centre to “maintain transparency”.

Currently, the candidates for the entrance examinations to the different courses under the university appear in the home centre.
