1.Who is Garima Singh?
Hailing from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, Garima Singh belongs to a middle-class family. In 2012, she entered the realm of administration by becoming an IPS officer. Subsequently, she cracked UPSC CSE 2016 with an impressive AIR 55, which ultimately led her to assumed the reins of public service as an IAS officer.
2.Education
As per a report by Zee News, Garima Singh completed her graduate and post-graduate studies from St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.
3.Road to becoming IPS
Recounting an incident that ignited in her a dedication to become IPS, Garima Singh says that once at a roadside checkpoint, she was forced to pay the bribe. Despite this, she stood firm in her principles and refused to do so.
4.Journey as an IPS officer
Garima Singh's journey as an IPS officer began with her posting in Uttar Pradesh. With utmost dedication and passion, she served the community for almost four years.

5.Preparations to become an IAS officer
In order to fulfil her father's dream, Garima Singh started preparing for UPSC CSE again. In 2016, she emerged victorious with flying colours, clinching an All India Rank (AIR) 55.
