1. Father’s dream
Pooja Awana's father, Vijay Awana wanted to see his daughter in police uniform. In order to make her father's dream come true, Pooja started preparing for UPSC. This journey was not at all easy for her.
2. Failed in first attempt
According to the report of News18, Pooja Awana, a resident of Atta village in Noida, was a topper from the beginning. After graduation, she started preparing for UPSC. In the year 2010, she gave the UPSC exam for the first time. Although she could not succeed, she did not give up.
3. Success in second attempt
Pooja Awana failed in the first attempt, but she gave the exam for the second time with more preparation and motivation. This time, Pooja secured All India Rank 316 and became an IPS officer at the age of just 22.
4. Became IPS of Rajasthan cadre
After training, Pooja Awana was posted in Pushkar, Rajasthan. It was her first posting. After this, while holding various posts, she has also served as Deputy Commissioner of Traffic, Jaipur and is currently posted as DCP in Rajasthan Police.

Apart from her work, Pooja Awana, a 2012 batch IPS officer, is also famous for her looks and style. She is very active on social media and often shares stylish photos on Instagram.
6. Tips for UPSC aspirants
Pooja Awana says that there is no need to get frustrated due to failure or not getting very good marks. “Don't get discouraged by failure, low marks or not getting success in the first attempt, stick to your goal and pursue your dreams with more hard work.
