Meet IAS Ananya Das, perfect example of 'beauty with brain', IIT graduate who cracked UPSC exam in first attempt, got married twice, her AIR is ..., now posted as...

IAS Ananya Das hails from Odisha. She was born on 15 May 1992. She is 33 years old. She is an IITian, who cracked UPSC examination and became an IAS officer. She is perfect example of  'beauty with brains'. She comes from an educated family. Her father is a former Bank of India employee.

Ananya Das pursued her BTech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay. The, she did MSc in Economics from BITS Pilani. She worked as a software developer in MNC. She also interned at the Reserve Bank of India in Jaipur.

Ananya left her job as Software Developer. She started preparations for UPSC. She cleared the 2015 UPSC CSE on her first attempt, securing an AIR 16. She was the state topper from Odisha. 

Ananya joined the Gujarat cadre initially, then she also served as commissioner of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation. She is currently posted as joint secretary in the department of handlooms, textiles, and handicrafts, in Bargarh.

Ananya Das was first married to IAS officer Abdaal Akhtar but the couple got divorced. Later, Ananya married IAS officer Chanchal Rana in 2023. Chanchal Rana is a 2014 batch officer from Odisha. He got AIR 7 in UPSC CSE.
