The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has impacted the academic calendar to a great extent. The UGC NET exams were delayed and the June 2020 exam finally took place from September 24 to November 13. For the candidates who appeared for the exam and who are now eagerly waiting for the outcome, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will bring out the results soon.

Going by the past trends, the UGC NET results are mostly declared within 25 days of the last day of the exam. In 2019, the June exams ended on June 28 and the results came out on July 5. Similarly, in December 2019, the exams ended on December 6 and the results were declared on December 31.

The considerable delay this time is owing to the complications arising from the coronavirus pandemic. This year, both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of NET were conducted online and there was no break in between the two. Within 3 hours, the appearing candidates could switch from Paper 1 to Paper 2. There was no separate time allocated for the two papers.

In the exam, all the questions were compulsory and there was no negative marking for the wrong answers.

Once the results are announced, follow these steps to check your scores.

The National Eligibility Test or NET is required to be eligible for the post of assistant professor or for availing a Junior Research Fellowship award in universities and colleges in India.
