Woman, son found dead in South Delhi

A 30-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Govindpuri area of south Delhi this evening.

The deceased were identified as Sommati and Kamal. Police said that the incident came to light this evening when some neighbours of the deceased smelled foul smell emanating from their house.

"Sensing something has gone wrong, neighbours immediately called up police, which broke open the house's door only to find Sommati and her son Kamal dead there.

The bodies were in a highly decomposed state which suggests that they might have died three to four days ago," said a police officer.

The officer said that the role of Sommati's husband Rohit is under scanner as he has been missing since the incident. "Police are investigating the case and searching for Rohit," the officer added.
