According to the police, the constable identified as Rajesh, posted at the same police station, would allegedly make attempts to talk to her.

"The complainant has stated that the two knew each other as they were posted at the same police station where he was doing a clerical job. She has alleged that Rajesh would try finding excuses to talk to her. He would often misbehave openly," said a senior police station.

The woman had narrated the ordeal to her husband who then had a heated argument with him.

"She also said that after that initially he stopped for a while but then started calling up randomly. He would try and talk double-meaning stuff with her and whenever her duty would be over, he would make small talks and offer to drop her home despite several denials," said a senior police officer.

CONSTABLE TAKEN OFF DUTY

  • The complaint has been forwarded to the sexual harassment committee of the Delhi Police as the victim wants to reveal more things.
  • "After the complaint came forward, constable Rajesh has been taken off duty," said a senior police officer.
