Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday visited the family of 23-year-old Ankit Saxena, who was killed in west Delhi's Khyala area on Thursday night allegedly by the family members of a woman with whom he was in a relationship. The CM ensured justice to the deceased's family.

"Spoke to Ankit's father. Whatever happened has to be condemned more. Delhi government will have the biggest advocate to get justice for Ankit. We will make all possible efforts to get punishment for the guilty," Kejriwal tweeted after the meeting. "May God grant solace to Ankit's family. We are with them in this struggle," he added.

The CM's visit came a day after Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari questioned his "silence" over the incident.

Aam Admi Party's Rajya Sabha member Sushil Kumar Gupta also met the deceased family. "The CM has sent us here. This morning the CM had a talk with his (victim's) father. He (Kejriwal) wanted to come himself, but he was going to Haridwar, so he said that he will meet the family after returning to Delhi," he said while speaking to the media.

"The government is with the entire family. And, we will try to ensure that strongest action is taken against the culprit. And, whatever possible help is needed, we will extend that," Gupta said.
