On one hand there was the son of a former BSP MP, while on the other the son of a former MLA from Congress.
Ashish Pandey is the son of former BSP MP Rakesh Pandey and the victim, Kanwar Gaurav Singh is the son of Ex-MLA of Congress Kanwar Karan Singh from Model Town. The victim stated that he was out for dinner with his friend at the Hyatt Regency hotel when the incident occurred.
Gaurav told the police that he, along with his friend, had gone for dinner to the restaurant 'House' at Hyatt Regency. His friend has been feeling nauseous and wanted to visit the washroom.
"My friend went to the washroom to vomit. As there was no female who could help her inside the washroom, she called me for help. When I went there, the three other women seen in the video also came in. Before I could explain anything to them, they started shouting and arguing with me. The argument soon turned ugly and they were joined by Ashish and Sahil. I informed the security staff and they were separated from us," said Gaurav to police officials.
Ashish had visited the club with his two female friends and Sahil, who was accompanied by two others, identified as Nipun and Pamela.
Sahil is also a part of the investigation and in a statement to the police, said that there was an argument after which they came out near the entrance of the hotel. The argument kept going on, with the two groups verbally abusing the other. As per Sahil, Ashish was angry and whipped out his pistol after which he intervened and asked him to go inside the car, as seen in the video. Sahil drove home in his car and Ashish left with the three women in his. The three women left the country on Sunday -- while two are from Dubai, one hails from London. The statements of Gaurav, his female friend and Sahil have been registered.
