A 22-year toll tax staff member was shot at by unidentified assailants after they demanded the staffer shouldn’t not charge toll from a group of truckers at Tikri Toll plaza in South- West Delhi. Singh is believed to be critical.

The incident occurred on Friday evening when Amar Singh who was stationed at one of the toll collection booths, refused to oblige the truckers. Three persons were on a bike and as Singh refused, one of them whipped out a pistol and shot at him. The accused men fled the spot immediately.

Police officials are scanning the CCTV footage to ascertain the identity of the attackers. A case of attempted murder has been registered.
