Three men arrested for killing guard

The Gautam Budh Nagar police have arrested three men, for allegedly murdering a 40-year-old guard who was trying to resist a robbery attempt at a garment factory in Noida's Sector 63, from Kala Pather area on National Highway 24 on Wednesday evening. Police have recovered the cash and weapons from their possessions while two other men involved in the crime are still absconding.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Shivam, Sunil Singh and Ranjit Verma, who had looted and killed a guard working at the Kimo Clothing factory in Sector 63 , along with Sitendra and Anmol. The accused were arrested following a tip off.

"The CCTV footage revealed that around 5 pm four men were found consuming liquor at a guard room in the factory and later they tied him up and allegedly shot him dead. We had identified the men and were tracing them and following a tip off we arrested them on Wednesday evening," said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent Of Police (city).

During interrogation, they revealed that Sitendra used to work in the factory few months back. So he contacted Sunil in order to loot the factory. Sunil took the other three with him and on January 13 they looted a van to execute the crime.

"On January 14, they all went to the factory and had liquor with the guard and later tied him and took away the safe cash box of the company and the guard's mobile phone. They all went in two groups," Kumar added.

Police have recovered a 3 country made pistols of 315 bore, 12 live catridges and 3,18,500 rupees cash out of the 3,50,000 looted by the accused.

On January 14 The guard has been identified as Ashutosh Kumar, who lived in a rented house in Wajidpur was found dead by another guard, CB Singh, who came to the factory for his night duty and found the lock at the main door broken. He also found factory premises ransacked. Ashutosh was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
