Three held for murdering cab driver, one other in Outer Delhi's Ranhola

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Deepak Tiwari (18), Suraj Tiwari (21), both residents of Jai Vihar in Najafgarh and Shrikant (20), a resident of Shyam Vihar in Najafgarh.

The special cell of Delhi Police has arrested three persons for killing an Uber driver and another man and later dumping their bodies in Outer Delhi's Ranhola area. Two bodies were found dumped on the Nangloi Najafgarh road in Baprola area.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Deepak Tiwari (18), Suraj Tiwari (21), both residents of Jai Vihar in Najafgarh and Shrikant (20), a resident of Shyam Vihar in Najafgarh. 

Tiwari who thrashed by the victims during an argument over money. He involved his relatives including a brother and a close friend in order to commit the crime. On Sunday, two men, including a 21-year-old cab driver, were allegedly shot dead and their bodies dumped beside the Nangloi-Najafgarh road in Baprola area of outer Delhi's Ranhola.

"The deceased were identified as Deepak, a driver of cab aggregator Uber, and Neeraj (21)," said Sanjeev Yadav, DCP, Special Cell. The officer added that a trap was laid In Sector-16 of Dwarka near ITBP School. At about 7.10 PM, three persons, spotted on a black motorcycle were identified and apprehended in connection with the killing.

Three country-made pistols along with five live cartridges and a stolen motorcycle were from their possession. During interrogation, the accused persons revealed that on the night of January 6, they killed Neeraj and Deepak on Nangloi-Najafgarh road in Ranhola area when they were strolling with one Sachin Thapa, he added.

Deepak fired six-seven bullets from his pistol at the two victims Deepak and Neeraj. After killing them, the accused persons chased Thapa to eliminate him as he was their prime target. However, Thapa managed to flee. Thapa and Neeraj are active in criminal activities of Jai Vihar. On December 16, the accused Deepak was injured after being thrashed by Thapa and Neeraj. The duo had demanded money from the accused and some other locals of Jai Vihar area.

In the process, the accused Deepak sustained injuries on his eye and face following which he approached police and filed a complaint against Sachin Thapa at Ranhola police station. Thapa was pressurising the accused Deepak through local persons to withdraw his complaint. However, Deepak felt insulted after being beaten up and so he planned to eliminate Thapa and Neeraj, he added. The accused Deepak already had a pistol and other weapons, which he brought from Chhapra, Bihar.
