Speeding car rams youth on bike, kills him

A 23-year-old youth lost his life after a speeding car hit his two-wheeler from behind in North-West Delhi’s Azadpur area on Friday evening.
The deceased, identified as Vikas, was riding his scooter on the Wazirpur-Azadpur corridor when a car being driven at high speed by one Saurav Goyal hit his scooter. One of the eyewitnesses told the police that Goyal first brushed his car past the youth’s scooter after which he then went ahead and hit him.
The impact was such that the boy fell off the flyover. Locals immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Police say that a medical examination of the accused has been conducted and a case of rash and negligent driving causing death has been registered. Further investigations into the case are being conducted.
