A day after two businessmen brothers were found bludgeoned to death at their shop in north Delhi's Kashmere Gate area, the police on Sunday detained one of the two house-helps who had gone missing soon after the murder. Though the officers refused to divulge any details regarding the case, sources revealed that they were close on heels of cracking the case.

The apprehended person was identified as Sonu. Police sources revealed that cash and jewellery in the shop and on the deceased brothers — Raj Kumar and Devendra Manchanda — were intact and so, they have ruled out robbery as the motive behind the crime. The cops will now question Sonu to get leads in the case.

The brothers had been attacked with a chopper and an ice-breaking instrument. When they did not return home or answered their calls, their family members sensed something amiss and arrived at the warehouse. They found the door of the building locked. They then broke open the doors to find the victims lying in a pool of blood.
