A Delhi court on Wednesday awarded two-month jail term to a school director and its principal for causing mental trauma to a class 3 student by not allowing her to enter the classroom.

Director Kavita Chandra and principal Romi Chawla of Dwarka-based OPG World School have been ordered to pay Rs 2.5 lakh each to the 7-year-old girl. The incident took place on April 24, 2012.

The court, in June this year had convicted Chandra and Chawla under section 23 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000.
