Victim Sushil Chauhan's wife Seema alleged that her husband did not die in an incident of road rage but it was a planned conspiracy by the occupants of the car, one of them is her relative. When asked what could be the possible motive, she had no answer. Their 10-year old daughter is unaware of her father's demise and has been told that he is hospitalised due to an accident.

It was not just Chauhan's immediate family but also his friends agree with kin's claim of planned conspiracy to kill him.

The Wagon-R car had six occupants including the deceased, his nephew Ashwini alias Anu, Anu's friend Kartik, Renu and two other girls. Seema revealed that on November 29 she had even called Renu and requested her to not call her husband to pubs and if she had any issues then she could discuss with her as well. "I had scolded her earlier too and asked her to share her issues with me. She calls us bhaiya and bhabhi. None of them even heard a gunshot, how is it possible. I last spoke to him around 11:21pm and he had lied to me saying he was caught by the police for drunk driving," said Seema.

Ruchi and other cousins of the deceased also alleged the same. "The entire car is full of blood. If he was shot how is it possible that he was driving and when Chacha Nehru hospital was just opposite to the crime scene why did they take him to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital. There were five other people in the car and none stepped out to save him," said Ruchi.

As per Seema she spoke to her husband around 10pm and he told her he was leaving the engagement function along with Anu and Kartik. "I slept and called him around 11pm, after 11:21 his phone was off. He knew I would get angry and he would lie at times. Neither would have Renu called him nor he would have passed away," said Seema.
