Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party president Manoj Tiwari alleged at a press conference here on Thursday that Delhi chief minister was deliberately scuttling the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the national capital. The BJP leader also slammed CM Arvind Kejriwal over various other issues like pollution and nepotism in Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Speaking to media persons, he said that while Ayushman Bharat aims to provide healthcare facilities to 6.5 lakh families and 30 lakh people residing in Delhi covering both urban and rural poor, the Delhi government was "intentionally" stalling its implementation due to negligence and petty politics. Referring to a tweet by Union Health Minister J P Nadda, Tiwari said that the union minister has also requested Kejriwal to implement the scheme for Delhi's welfare but to no avail.

Tiwari also criticised the CM for failing to curb rising pollution. People of Delhi are suffering due to the deteriorating air quality but the Delhi government has failed to take any credible steps to curb it, he said. The CM is not serious about taking steps to curb pollution. He is absent whenever a meeting is called on the issue of controlling pollution. Delhi BJP wants the result and the expenditure on meetings on pollution should be made public. Kejriwal says that air has no boundaries, does it mean that it is not possible for Arvind Kejriwal to control air pollution? Kejriwal has no vision for the people of Delhi," Tiwari said.

"Kejriwal claimed about changing the politics of Delhi but he is changing the constitution of Aam Aadmi Party like the Congress to facilitate nepotism and continue his total control over the party. It exposes the double standards of Kejriwal," he further said.
