A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the hit and run case where a fruit seller was killed and another was injured by an unidentified car in Dwarka. Police said that they have recovered the Mercedes car involved in the accident.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Nukul (28), a resident of Raj Nagar, Palam Colony.

"The logo played a crucial role in the arrest. We had obtained a list of about 4,000 cars of the same make as the logo found near the accident spot and have identified two-three cars in the nearby area. Following the raids, he was arrested. He will be produced before the Dwarka court on Wednesday," said Anto Alphonse, Deputy commissioner of police Dwarka.

Meanwhile, the police said that they have scanned the CCTV footage from cameras installed in the area but they have not to lead to any progress in the case.

On Sunday night, Sarvesh Singh Yadav was killed and his friend Inder sustained injuries when they were hit by a speeding vehicle in Dwarka sector 9.

Inder's family claimed that his condition is serious.
