The incident took place at Laxmi Nagar metro station, ANI reported. He was, however, saved and was admitted to a nearby hospital.

There have been several cases of people attempting to commit suicide by jumping in front of metro train. Earlier on February 11, a 50-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding train at Janakpuri east station. A suicide note was recovered from him. According to the letter, he took the extreme step because of some prolonged health issues, they said.
