Under the program ‘Exchange for Change 2013-2015’, 36 Pakistani students were received with a warm welcome at an event at DPS Sushant Lok on February 9. The event was organised by Indian NGO 'Routes 2 Roots' in collaboration with the Citizens Archive of Pakistan.

The programme was aimed to spread love and peace between the two neighbouring countries. In the third phase of the programme, this year 52 Pakistani delegates visited India including 36 Pakistani students.

Ruchi Seth, Principal, DPS Sushant Lok speaking to iamin expressing her happiness said that it was a wonderful experience for the students and the school as well. Seth added that because of cultural similarity of both the nations, it is more important to promote peace for growth of both countries so that students can relate to each other and create an everlasting bond of friendship and love.

A student sharing his experience with iamin said that they found lot of similarities in terms of food, clothes and architecture which attracted them more.

The programme ‘Exchange for Change 2013-2015’ began in three phases. In the first phase, a 16 month programme allowed for a sustained dialogue between India and Pakistan, between 2,400 students through letters, postcards, collages and histories. In the second phase the number of students rose to 3,500. The third phase, which began in January last year, will end in March 2015.

Rakesh Gupta of Routes 2 Roots said that their mission is to create a platform for the peace and sustainability with the help of these students across the borders.
