Delhi-ites now have a new app that will allow them take active part in keeping Delhi's streets garbage free.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the mobile app 'Swachh Delhi' just days before Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu is planned to begin a cleanliness drive in the national capital on 22, November. 

A simple info-graphic posted by Aam Aadmi Party's facebook page shows how Delhi-ites can report piling up garbage from any part of Delhi.

How the app will work:

In a coordinated effort with the municipal corporation the app aims to allow citizens to spot and report garbage in the city.

The app is available to on the Google Playstore while one can also download it by giving a missed call on 7666400400

After it has been installed, all one has to do is click a photo and upload it.

​How Municipal corporations will manage the clean up

Once uploaded the photo and its location will go to the control room of the urban development department and then to the municipal corporation of that area.

If there is unclaimed construction material , the report will go to the the Public Works Department. 

While many are parising this novel initiative by the kejriwal gornment in Delhi only time will tell if this rather new age approach will be a hit.
