The deceased has been identified as Kamlesh. Her partner, Monu, allegedly killed Sandeep Mental in May, the member of a rival gang and is currently in jail on charges of murder.
A 42-year-old woman was shot at several times by two unidentified bike-borne miscreants at her residence in Pochanpur area of Dwarka district on Monday morning. The incident took place when the deceased's son left the house's door open and the two unidentified men barged inside the house and fired at least six times at her.
The woman succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. Police said that she was a widow and was living with her live-in partner, who is in jail in relation with a murder case. Prima facie, it is suspected that the woman was murdered by her partner's rivals as revenge.

"The woman lives in Pochanpur village and the incident took place at around 10 am. The two accused arrived at her place in a motorcycle, fired at her and fled," said Anto Alphonse, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka)
The doctors at the hospital where she was rushed to, revealed that she had five bullet injuries.
"We are scanning the footage from CCTV cameras in the area and the two which are installed outside the house. Raids are being conducted at several places in Delhi and Haryana," said Alphonse.
Police said that protection was given to the woman whenever she required and she was asked to inform the SHO every time she stepped out of the house.
"A day before the incident, police personnel visited the woman's house to review safety and security," said a senior police officer.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police in June arrested Monu near Chhawala Village after a brief shoot-out. Monu and his associates shot Sandeep alias Mental dead on May 2, when he was on his way to court in Dwarka, with a close aide, Pawan, near Bamnoli village.
