The Outer District of Delhi police has arrested four people including two sharpshooters of Neeraj Bawana gang, in connection with the robbery at gunpoint in Domino's Pizza outlet in Outer Delhi's Nangloi area. Police said that the accused were planning to go to Manali for new year celebration.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Sachin (22), Sonu (20), a sweeper at Domino's Pizza, Banty (18), residents of Nangloi and Sumit (23), a resident of Ranhola.

"On the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, we received a police control room call from the staff of Domino's Pizza staff informing us about a gunpoint robbery worth Rs 1,50,800 by three masked men who entered the outlet and looted the store," said Seju Kuruvilla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer).

During the initial probe, it was suspected to be the role of an employee in the case. Following which the details of call details of employees were analyzed and the activities of Sonu was found to be suspicious.

"Sonu was taken into custody and he broke down and confessed to his role in the robbery. He revealed that he and Banty, along with Sachin and Sumit committed the robbery in Domino's Pizza outlet. Following a tip-off, police laid a trap and apprehended Banty. Further, Sachin and Sumit were also arrested while they were planning to go to Manali for new year celebration," said Kuruvilla.

During the investigation, it was found that Sonu and Banty planned to rob the outlet in the intervening night of Sunday/Monday as cash of sale of these two days is deposited in the bank on Monday. Banty, Sumit and Sachin robbed the cash after they got the spare key of the outlet from Sonu while Sachin and Sumit are shooters of Neeraj Bawaniya Gang and previously involved in a murder case in 2016.
