Following the arrest of Shrishti Gupta, who shot the national level boxer with the help of her ex-boyfriend Imran and his accomplice Nafees to hatch the conspiracy, the brother of the deceased has said he is not satisfied with the police and the woman’s version of the incident.
The woman has alleged that the boxer, Jitendra Mann, was blackmailing her and demanding money over an obscene video. Devender Mann, brother of the deceased, has questioned this claim.
“Gupta claimed that my brother (Jitendra Mann) was blackmailing and demanding money from her. How is that possible as she (Shrishti Gupta) was not financially strong enough and was being helped by Imran. So, how could have Jitendra demanded money from her when she didn’t have it. Besides, my brother had enough money of his own,” said Devender Mann.
He further alleged that the police have not been able to find the phone of his deceased brother or recover the video which is said to be the murder motive.
“The reason behind the murder is something else. The police should investigate the case and give us a satisfactory answer. If he did make the video, I request the police to recover the phone and show it to us also,” Devender added.
On January 12, national-level boxer Jitendra Mann was found dead with bullet injuries at his residence in AVJ Heights in Surajpur area of Greater Noida.
