In an early morning encounter, a Delhi Police team arrested a ‘wanted’ gangster in Okhla Mandi area on Monday.

The gangster has been identified as Tanwir. 

A resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj, Tanwir faces loot and murder charges.

The sharpshooter of the Chhaini gang, Tanwir was carrying a reward of Rs 70,000 on his head. 

According to an India TV report, two police officials were hit during the encounter, but were saved by the bulletproof vests.

Tanwir is accused in the 2017 double murder in Delhi. He allegedly killed two boys in Brahmpuri and Vinayak Park areas. He is also accused in a murder case in UP’s Badayun.
