The ghastly details emerging from the Burari’s house of horror are so unnerving that even a day after the crime was discovered, the Delhi Police has not been able to reach on a conclusion.
The handwritten entries in the diary found by the police from the house of the Bhatia family not only hints at some occult practices but also shows the level of precision that were followed for the alleged mass suicide.
The Economic Times report on Monday gave out the baffling details.
The key ‘instructions’ were written in the diary months ago. It talked about ‘road to God’ or ‘mass salvation.’ There are reports that the family also conducted an elaborate ‘Havan’ before ending their lives.
Here are some of the bizarre instructions for the hangings:
1: Pattiyan achchhe se baandhni hai.. Shunya ke alaawa kuch nahi dikhna chahiye.. Rassi ke saath sooti chunniyan ya sari ka prayog karna hai.. (Blindfold everyone properly, nothing should be visible. Apart from a rope, a chunni or sari should also be used).
2: Saat din Bad pooja lagataar karni hai.. thoda lagan aur shraddha se.. Koi ghar me aa jaaye to agle din.. Guruvaar ya Ravivaar ko chunein... (Worship Banyan tree for 7 days straight. In case someone enters the house, the prayer should be restarted from next day. Choose Thursday or Sunday for the act).
3: Sabki soch ek jaisi honi chahiye.. Pehle se jyada dhridhta se.. Ye karte hi tumhare aage ke kaam dhridhta se shuru honge (Everyone must think alike. It should be done with firm determination, more so from the last time. This will give way for the path ahead).
The instructions were so to-the-point that they also mentioned the time for the hangings, which was from midnight till 1 in the morning.
Though the relatives maintain that the Bhatias were a happy family and rule out any tantric angle, the police sources say that it is a case of mass suicide. The post-mortem, which was conducted on Monday also said that six of the family members died of hanging.
