A 13-year-old girl student of Ahlcon Public School committed suicide — allegedly after going into depression following low marks obtained in the recent exams — inside her house in Sector 52 of Noida on Tuesday evening. Family members alleged that she was being harassed by her teachers but police say no complaint has been received.
Ekisha Raghav Shah hanged herself using the ceiling fan in her room. Her parents rushed her to Kailash Hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. According to family members, her parents had gone out and grew suspicious as she did not open the door for a long time. They forcibly opened the house door and found her hanging in her room. Family says she was being mentally harassed by school teachers.
