The first incident was reported in East Delhi's New Ashok Nagar where the body of an unidentified 35-year-old woman with a slit throat was found near Hindon Canal at around 3 pm.

"The incident came to light when a man saw the woman's body. He made a PCR call and a police team was sent," said Pankaj Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East).

Police are scanning missing complaints registered at nearby police stations. "We suspect that the woman was murdered on Saturday night and then dumped at Hindon canal," said Singh.

In the second incident, an unidentified 30-year-old man was found along a drain in Dwarka's Najafgarh area on Sunday morning. Police were alerted through a PCR call. While no external injuries were found on his body, he seemed to have bled from his nose. Police have sent the body for an autopsy.

Prima-face it is suspected that this might be a road accident and that the man's body was dumped in a corner by the culprits. Police, however, have not ruled out other possibilities.
