Two members of an interstate gang including the kingpin involved in the supply of illegal arms and ammunition in the Delhi-NCR area have been arrested from Mansarovar Garden area of West Delhi. The two arrested are wanted criminals in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, where they have been accused of over eight cases, including crimes such as murder and assault, police said.

According to the police, the accused Ishwar Singh, the kingpin, and Romi Singh, both residents of Baria Village of Madhya Pradesh were arrested while they were trying to run away after a daylight burglary from a residence Mansarovar Garden on June 17.

"We had got information about the burglary and the police rushed to the spot where complainant stated that about 6 pm he visited his ancestral residence in Mansarovar Garden, where he spotted some movements in his house. He immediately raised an alarm and spotted two turban-clad suspects in their mid-twenties fleeing out of his house with his car's battery," said Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Of Police (West).

Police said that as the complainant chased them an officer posted in the Kirti Nagar Police station got the information about the attempted burglary and rushed to the area where he was able to apprehend the fleeing suspects. "We have recovered four country-made pistols and jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh ," said Kumar.
