Three people have been arrested for allegedly stalking a 34-year-old woman for the past three-four days from Khan Market area of Delhi on Monday. The accused revealed that they were hired by the woman's husband to spy on her, police said.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Hemant Aggarwal, Babar Ali and Amit Kumar.

"A call was received at police station Tuglak Road, where the caller informed that she was stalked by some persons. A team was rushed to Khan Market and met the caller, a resident of West Punjabi Bagh. She reported that she was followed by three persons from some three to four days and on Monday when she went first to Leela Hotel and then to Khan Market, they followed her," said a senior police officer.

Police said that she sensed that she was being followed at Leela Hotel and informed the manager but they fled away and later followed her at the market.

"In the market, she informed her relatives and caught three of them. During the interrogation, accused Hemant disclosed that he was hired by the husband of the woman to keep an eye on her," said a senior police officer.

Sources in the police said that the couple was married for the past 11 years and recently they fought a lot as the husband doubted her of having an extra-marital affair.

"He hired the three to spy on her. We have asked the husband to join the investigation. He is currently on the run. A case under sections 354D/34 of the Indian Penal code has been registered," said the officer.
