Municipal report released on Monday revealed that over 1,900 people have fallen prey to the deadly dengue fever in past one week in the national capital. Fever clinics, fogging sessions, increasing the number of beds in hospitals are some of the steps that have been taken by the state government. Yet there are still some areas in Delhi where the situation has not yet been curbed.  For instance, the ecologically dead Naini Lake in Model Town area has become a breeding ground of mosquitoes that is posing a health risk for the residents. Once a popular destination in Delhi's Model Town area, Naini Lake presently lies in a neglected state due to the tussle between the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) and Delhi Tourism department.
