Delhi: Rude shock for Yogesh's pregnant wife and daughter

The lane in Chilla Gaon where Yogesh Singh resided saw a sea of people talking in hushed tones, a wail piercing the murmurs every few minutes.

A few metres ahead, Yogesh's house was teeming with mourners. He is survived by a two-year-old daughter, Aayushi, and a 20-year-old wife, Neeraj, who is pregnant with their second child. While the woman was inconsolable, the toddler was with a family friend outside, unaware of the events surrounding her.

Yogesh and his younger brother, Akash, were married into the same family to two sisters. They even married on the same day in November 2015. Neeraj has been down with high fever for two days.

A family friend, Minati Barman, who was with Aayushi, said, "She is unaware of the circumstances and is wondering why everyone is crying, that's why I have got her out of the house as she starts crying looking at everyone crying."

The accused have not been identified so far. Police officials said that the CCTV footage does not show the number of the car but the face of one of the accused.

DNA had earlier in May reported how 24x7 stores were a meeting point and a menace for cops as they constantly attracted crowds. Two cases of molestation; one in Mukherjee Nagar and the other in Model Town, were reported after men outside the store allegedly passed lewd remarks at women.
